Power Shell Basics

Starting up powershell.

Windows Key + R --> powershell.exe

To get a list of your installed modules:

RUN >> Get-Module -ListAvailable

The following example displays a base set of modules, for additional modules which provide added functionality you should install Microsoft's RSAT (Microsoft Remote Server Administration Tools )
No Modules

Vista
Windows 7

After RSAT is installed it must be enabled using "Turn Windows Features on or off" from the "Programs and Features". Select the components and modules you require.
Enable RSAT

When you re-run: Get-Module -ListAvailable, you should see something simular to the following:
